Ballarat-Skipton Rail Trail Shuttle Service and Accommodation

Discover the historic Ballarat-Skipton Rail Trail! The 55km upgraded trail has a maximum gradient of 2% so it is suitable for people of all fitness levels.
The trail is 55km long and will take approximately 4-6 hours depending on stops and your level of fitness.
Several options are available:
1. Take the shuttle bus on Saturday or Sunday morning to Skipton and ride back to Ballarat - you may also choose to stay overnight in Ballarat Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday night(s)
2. Ride from Ballarat to Skipton, stay overnight at Skipton and catch the shuttle bus back the next day
3. Ride to Skipton and back in one day (make sure you start early!) - you may also choose to stay overnight in ballarat Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday night(s)
If you don't see the option you are looking for when you are booking or if you have more than four people travelling as a group, please contact us to discuss.
The shuttle service from Ballarat to Skipton departs from the Ballarat Railway Station at 9am. If you have also arranged bicycle hire, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior.
The shuttle service from Skipton to Ballarat departs from the end of the Skipton Rail Trail (corner Vowles Street and Johnson Street in Skipton) at 10.30am.
The shuttle service from Ballarat to Skipton arrives at the start of the Skipton Rail Trail at approximately 10am.
The shuttle service from Skipton to Ballarat arrives at Ballarat Railway Station at approximately 11.30am.

Failure to arrive at tour departure location prior to scheduled time without advance notification (no-show) will result in forfeiture of payment. Failure to cancel / reschedule tour reservation(s) at least 7 days in advance results in forfeiture of payment. All pre-payments for rentals and/or tours are final and non-refundable, no credit on early returns! No Refunds! Late returns are subject to additional charges and late fees. Non-returns or missing parts are subject to costs for replacement of equipment/parts. Damaged equipment are subject to repair and parts costs. To cancel a reservation and receive a store credit or refund you must submit a written request via email to info@fittours.com.au a minimum of 7 days prior to reservation date/time. Refunds may take up to 30 days from cancelation date/time.
